We're back! Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Remember how I promised all the space jokes? Now that turkey day is over, the space jokes are back.

Poor little meteowrongs.

Duck Disguise

If you have a little one in elementary school, you've probably helped them disguise a turkey to help it avoid becoming a Thanksgiving meal. The boy chose to disguise his as a storm cloud, complete with rain and lightning. This kid loves the weather.

Today's doodle and joke remind me of that turkey project.

Not all Keys Open Doors

Only two more days until the big turkey day. Only one more joke after this one. Tomorrow is a half day and then the boy is off for the next two days to celebrate Thanksgiving.

I suppose this joke could also work for monkey, but those guys could probably open doors if trained. Turkeys will never have the opposable thumbs necessary for knob turning.

Gobble It

Given that there's a very special turkey day coming up this week, I decided to put the space jokes on a hiatus to do a couple of Thanksgiving ones.

UFO's

When the boy read this joke in the car, he started cracking up. It might be one of his favorites from the space joke book so far. Today's doodle is eerily similar to the illustration in the joke book. My alien just isn't wearing a space helmet.

Because, really, who wears a helmet while they're frying eggs? Unless I've been doing it wrong this whole time...

That's a Mouthful

I hope you're like me, and that these space jokes won't ever get old. Drawing aliens is fun.

The boy and this alien are kindred spirits. Mine loves marshmallows too.

Flying Saucers

Technically, there's only one flying saucer in today's doodle. There are two saucers total. One just doesn't fly.

If this falls flat at the lunch table, at least the kitty thinks it's funny.
