Gigantic

Today's inktober prompt is 'gigantic.' I was going to draw a doodle of a giant, but when I found this joke, I decided to take it in a slightly different direction.

This Might Be My Favorite

Guys. Today's joke might be my favorite since I started drawing mamadoodles. I love the doodle too, but this joke won me over immediately.

I'm trying to do Inktober this year, and am following the prompts. Today's prompt was "screech" so I decided to look up owl jokes. This one was the clear winner.

Feeling Soggy

As you know, the boy has been sick off and on for the past few weeks and has missed a few days of school. Looks like it's my turn to deal with the yuck. I'm powering through anyway and still sent a doodle in with his lunch.

Since I'm drawing nearly every day anyway, I've decided to join the Inktober challenge. Will hopefully be able to find jokes that fit all of the prompt words. Looking forward to the challenge :) (Totally failed today's word which was sword though because I drew the doodle before I looked up the prompt list.)

Up and Over

The boy told me yesterday's joke was more of a success. Here's hoping today's doodle manages to impress as well.

Fun fact: most stock images of jump ropes have girls. Took me a while to find a reference that was a boy. I didn't realize jump ropes had been genderized.

Fix What's Broke

The boy told me yesterday's joke wasn't even funny. It was just true. I'm hoping today's joke will be more appreciated.

Attempting Normal

There was no doodle yesterday. The boy was sick again. But I'm glad. My heart was too heavy yesterday to make jokes. Waking up to the news about Las Vegas and then learning that Tom Petty died. Both devastated me in different ways.

So, I'm trying to carry on life as normal after a day that was anything but. The boy got lots of extra hugs yesterday, and I'll snuggle him again today after school, but it's hard to find a smile this morning.

This doodle is to help him feel the normal that I don't.

Jumpy

Today's doodle didn't come out exactly as I intended. I was going to draw Australia and cover it with holes, but couldn't get it to look right, so I went with this.

While the elephant certainly looks happy (I would be too if I'd never been able to jump before), it doesn't look much like he's jumping since I ran out of room for his feet. Trust me though, they're off the ground. And he's leaving holes all over Australia.
