Don't tell jokes when hungry

Apparently, food has been on my mind the past few days while I've been choosing the daily joke.

First: centipedes are not cute and it is difficult to cuten one up without it looking like a caterpillar. Second: I am jealous of this centipede's breakfast.

Almost a Week's Worth!

I'm going to cram four jokes into this post. I keep forgetting to post them here in the morning!

Friday's joke was the biggest hit so far.

I did another computer joke yesterday. Didn't realize how close together these two computer jokes were until I posted them here.

Which brings us to today's joke and gets us back up to date!

Always playing catch up

Thank goodness for snow days. Without them, there's no telling how far behind this blog would be!

I thought Friday's doodle was going to be boring given what I was drawing, but I'm actually pretty happy with how the picture turned out!

Monday was President's Day, so the boy had the day off from school. Yesterday's doodle is a bit weird. I didn't feel like drawing a person, so I drew a funny little bird. It made giving his knees a cap difficult.

One Stick to Rule Them All

Didn't realize I should have found a Valentine-themed joke for today until just now. Too late now :)

Flood of Knowledge

The boy loves all things weather-related, including tsunamis. He also loves to read. I was hoping today's joke would appeal to him for both of those reasons.

Make it Rain

While I didn't intentionally pick that title to match the weather, it certainly is apt for today. Cold and dreary from start to finish. What the title is really meant to refer to is money.

The boy said he loved this joke. It was definitely a fun doodle to draw.

Doodle RoundUP

I've got three doodles for you this morning. Luckily, they called a two hour delay, so I've got enough extra time to post. I've been terrible at remembering to do this lately.

The original punchline for this dragon joke was 'get out of the way' but when I told it to the boy he didn't think it was very funny. So I changed it. He liked this version a lot better.

Friday's joke was another one created by us. The boy loves to create knock-knock jokes and we often tell them back and forth. We were on a turnip roll one day and I decided this one was a keeper.

I've turned to a new joke book for inspiration as my last joke list has been used up. This one is called Laugh Out Loud Jokes for Kids by Rob Elliot. Here's hoping there's enough to get us through the end of the year!

Flaming Leopards

Seems like double posts are going to be my new thing.

Tuesday's joke was trickier to draw than I expected. My fireflies don't have the fiery butts of doom that I was going for, but I think the flames are noticeable enough to get the point across.

Today's cute little friend was an easier doodle.

Sneaky dogs

Friday's joke caused a first at our house. The boy thought it was hilarious, but was afraid to bring it to lunch. It walked a fine line of appropriateness for him.

I told him it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if he decided to keep the joke at home. I forgot to ask him whether he ended up bringing it in his lunch or not.

As a result, I kept today's joke free of potty words.
